About Pastor Gerald and Wanda
I believe the very first thing that I would like to say in our biography is how wonderful it is to serve the Lord and help people find the Lord. It's not always easy but it is wonderful to be in the middle of God's will for our lives.
We have been married for 49 years in February. We have been partners in the Ministry. We believe it is important to be strong together. To hold on to each other and accountable to each other.
I attended Fairmont college then went to work in the steel mill trained as metallurgists. I except God as my personal savior in 1975 Felt called to the ministry went to Mount Vernon Nazarene university and for the first part of our ministry was buy vocational for ten years our churches could not afford a full-time pastor.
Wanda and I have been a full-time Minster, in the Church of the Nazarene for 45 years pastored many churches I think it was 9 churches. Southern West Virginia, Ohio, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. Each church affected us in different ways, in those ways it made us who we are today.
I had a stroke in April of 2022. It left me paralyzed on my left side. I am still working very hard to get my mobility back.
I retired from the ministry, which was a very hard decision. The preaching part was easy, and the teaching part was easy but the emotional strain on the business side of the church just was too much, so we stepped down in ministry. We retired from the Newcomerstown Church of the Nazarene, the absolute best church we've ever pastored. The people are so wonderful there and if you don't have a church home, I would suggest you go there, they are amazing.
We have two children 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren I know it's hard to believe but we really do we're so thankful for our family and how God has blessed us.
How did we get to the Rocky Fork Ranch Resort? We saw a post on Facebook saying that they would like to have somebody come and speak in their little Chapel at the campground. I really thought that would be so wonderful for Gerald to be able to come and teach and preach because that's what he loved to do. So, I contacted them and asked if we could be the ones that they picked and they said sure, but we need to get you approved through our board. Shortly after that we were approved, and we began to come to the Chapel on Saturdays at 4:00 to have a church service for those on the campground.

OUR VISION, OUR MISSION, OUR CALLING
The Chapel at Rocky Fork is an inclusive church committed to Christ and His word. We are dedicated to sharing the love of Christ through ministry, fellowship and worship. Our church is not just a house of worship. At its core are the members and believers that come together to practice God’s word, celebrate His love and extend His gifts to all.

WHAT WE BELIEVE
We have striven to create a strong community driven by the teachings of Jesus Christ, which are the guiding force in the lives of our growing congregation. Through our worship, activities and special community, we give our members the chance to become fully immersed in the wisdom and teachings of the Lord.
